I’m Mayra, the founder of Blue Autism Center. I’ve been working in the field since 2013, and in 2020 I founded Blue with the vision of creating a space where children are supported as their authentic selves and families feel truly seen and valued. Building Blue has been one of my greatest accomplishments—right up there with raising my two crazy, fun kids, Jasmine and Jayden. My favorite part of working at Blue is watching children grow and learn while being exactly who they are. I also love being part of a team that leads with compassion, collaboration, and genuine care for the individuals and families we serve. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, reading thriller and horror books, and being a self-proclaimed foodie.

I’ve been working with kids on the autism spectrum for almost 10 years, starting as an RBT and then becoming a BCBA. I’ve worked in homes, clinics, and in school, supporting kids across a wide range of ages and supports. I’m a Clinical Director at Blue Autism Center and work primarily at our older kids center in Murray. I’m especially passionate about teaching functional communication, social skills like making and keeping friends, and real-life skills such as meal prep, transitions, and independence. I love getting to know each kid who comes to Blue and learning what makes them who they are. Blue has such a positive, compassionate culture, and I really appreciate how collaborative the team is and how focused we are on real-life goals. Outside of work, I’m an avid rock climber and am currently branching into the world of trad climbing. I love traveling to new states and countries to find beautiful places to climb and explore. I’m happiest when I’m hiking, camping, or spending time outdoors. Basically, if it involves being outside, moving, or exploring somewhere new, I’m in.

I’ve spent over 10 years supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I create personalized, compassionate programs and behavior plans to help children build communication, coping strategies and everyday life skills. I am also certified in Skills-Based Treatment (SBT). I’m passionate about partnering with families to help children find their voice, grow in confidence, and live joyful, meaningful lives through trauma-informed ABA. I am a Clinical Director, but my favorite part is still working hands-on with clients. I also help coach our team, support our interns, and make sure families and staff feel valued, supported, and truly part of our community. What I love most about Blue is how much we genuinely care—for both our clients and our team. It’s what makes this a special place to work and to receive therapy. There’s a real focus on family, and a culture of respect, support, and encouragement that helps everyone succeed. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me nose-deep in a good book, planning my next trip, or tinkling the piano keys. I love spending time with my kids and extended family and catching up with close friends—those moments keep me grounded, inspired, and grateful.

I received my master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Ball State University in May 2026 while also completing the internship program here at Blue as a behavior analyst intern; in July 2026, I became a BCBA! I was working as an RBT for almost 3 years when I realized that I loved the field of ABA and wanted to continue to help change the lives for individuals with autism! I have experience working with individuals with autism from ages 2 to 8 years old in a clinic setting. I am passionate about seeing these kiddos grow in their communication, daily living, and social skills. I love working at Blue because of the supportive and collaborative atmosphere that everyone brings! It is such a joy to work with so many people who are also passionate about the work we do. I also love getting to work so closely with our client’s families and selecting goals that will help the client grow in their independence. When I’m not at Blue, I love to make pottery, be outside, read, and spend time with my friends. I’m from Florida, so I love the summertime and getting to swim in the lakes here in Utah! I also have a sweet dog named Gus and I love going on walks with him.

I received my Bachelor’s degree in Community Health from Montana State University and later earned my Master’s degree in Advanced Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. I have been working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for approximately 10 years and have been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for nearly three years. Throughout my career, I have worked with children ages 2–9 in a clinic setting and, over the past three years, have also supported adults in both clinic and community-based environments. These diverse experiences have strengthened my passion for helping individuals grow and reach their fullest potential. I work as a BCBA at Blue, where I am dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and fun environment for every child who walks through the doors. I am passionate about making Blue a place where children feel excited to learn and families feel confident in the care and services we provide. I love the teamwork and compassion that Blue Autism shows toward each child. It’s incredibly rewarding to work for a company that genuinely cares about both its employees and its clients. Blue takes a loving, individualized approach to teaching, making the learning environment engaging and enjoyable for every child. Outside of work, you can find me riding bikes, hiking, listening to live music, camping, running, or walking my dog. A fun fact about me is that I lived in Thailand for eight months, where I taught English to Thai-speaking students and traveled around Southeast Asia.

I have worked in the field of ABA for almost 10 years. Prior to that I worked in Special Education as an aide in the life skills class in a high school. I have worked with ages 18 months to 24 years, but excel at working with early learners. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at Blue. I create treatment plans and oversee RBT's who implement those treatment plans on a daily basis. My passion and the reason I do what I do is seeing the progress, no matter how small, with each and every client I work with. I love how everyone at Blue works as a team and everyone is available for help and support, when needed. The kids are adorable and fun, the families are supportive and invested in their child's learning programs. I love that Blue uses the trauma informed approach to care. This is vital as we have no idea what has been or may be traumatizing to our clients. When I am not at work, I love to do anything outdoors. Especially if it is in or near water. I love taking pictures of nature and then enlarging them to use as art for the walls in my home. I collect miniature items as long as they look and work like the real thing. My favorite color is blue and my favorite animal is an elephant. At home I have 2 small dogs, a 3.5 lb chihuahua and a 7 lb maltipoo who go many places with me when I am not working. I also have 3 birds; a cockatiel and two parakeets.

I started working as an RBT while working on my Associate’s degree back in 2021, and immediately knew I had found my calling. Since then, I got my Bachelors of Science in Ed Psych from the University of Utah in 2025, and am now working toward my Master’s in Applied Behavior Analysis through Florida Institute of Technology(online). The majority of my experience is with children aged 5-15, but I love working with all ages! Since beginning my internship, I’ve been given many opportunities to learn, grow, and keep doing what I love on a deeper level. Under the supervision of the amazing BCBAs at Blue, I’ve gotten to assist with welcoming in new kiddos, writing their treatment plans, and collaborating with their parents, schools, or other providers. I learn something new every day, and am excited to keep doing so! Over the years I have been in this field, Blue is the most outstanding company and team I have gotten to be apart of. It’s rare to find a company that cares this much about the kiddos we serve, and ensures that we are trained to a level where we can be confident that we really are giving the best care that we can. I love feeling confident and truthful when I say that Blue is the best! If I’m not at Blue, you can probably catch me listening to music, walking my dog, or playing games with friends. I was not built for the heat, but I love being outside as much as I can. I’ve been in Utah for most of my life, but I fall more in love with our nature and scenery every year.

I double majored in Psychology and Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Utah, graduating in May 2026. I am currently pursuing my master’s degree online at Ball State University in Applied Behavior Analysis. I have been working at Blue as an RBT since July 2024 and officially began my Behavior Analyst Internship in August 2026. Over the past two years, I have gained experience implementing trauma-informed ABA therapy and early intervention with children ages 2–8. Since beginning my internship, I have had many opportunities to grow, learn, and develop my skills through each client I work with. My internship has given me an even greater appreciation for this field and has reinforced why I love what I do every day. As an RBT and Behavior Analyst Intern, I work under the supervision of BCBAs who support my growth and development in the field. Through my experience at Blue, I have had the opportunity to learn how to write treatment plans, supervise RBTs as they implement treatment goals, build meaningful relationships with clients and families, and collaborate with all my wonderful colleagues at Blue. I’ve had the opportunity to watch so many clients grow and make meaningful progress in different areas of their lives. Being a part of that process is truly something special and is one of the many reasons I love working at Blue. I’m honored to be part of a company that fosters such a collaborative and supportive environment for clients, families, and staff members. When I’m not at Blue or doing schoolwork, I enjoy spending time outdoors, making plans with loved ones, going to the gym, trying new Pilates classes, perfecting my matcha recipe, and being cozy and curled up with my two cats. I truly find meaning in creating balance in my life and making time for the things that bring me joy.

I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Capella University and am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis at Ball State University online. I have been working at Blue Autism Center as an RBT for the past four years and became a Behavior Analyst Intern after beginning my graduate program. I have experience working with children in early intervention and supporting children in developing meaningful skills and increasing their independence. At Blue, I work alongside our BCBA team to support clients in reaching their individualized goals. I am passionate about helping children build new skills, gain independence, and celebrate their progress along the way! My favorite thing about working at Blue is getting to see the growth and progress our kiddos make every day. I love being part of a supportive team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and their families. When I’m not working or doing schoolwork, I love making crafts, spending time with my loved ones, and going on adventures! I enjoy trying new things, making memories with the people I love, and spending time outdoors.

I received a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science emphasizing in Family Studies from Utah Valley University in 2021. I took some time off school and work to be a stay-at-home mom for my two daughters. Upon returning to the workforce, I also enrolled as a student at the University of Utah for my Masters in Behavioral Analysis in August of 2025. I began working at Blue in January of 2026 and then became a Behavioral Analyst Intern in June 2026 and have loved every second of it! As an intern I have had the opportunity to shadow our wonderful BCBAs, supervise RBTs, create treatment plans, conduct assessments, and more under the supervision of a BCBA. I have enjoyed learning more about the field of ABA and growing my skills to better help our clients. I love the culture and atmosphere here at Blue. All members are dedicated to helping our clients and each other. There is always help when needed and our RBTs and BCBAs give 100% when here at work! You can truly tell that our staff cares for each client. When not at Blue or doing my homework, I’m normally at home with my family. We are a huge sports family and either constantly have a game on, attending a game or practicing. I coach my daughters in soccer and am always outside with them. When just by myself, my favorite hobbies are reading, crafting, and doing puzzles or Legos!
